Nice Ab and Cardio Day!

Today's workout was on the "Perfect Fitness MultiGym" with arm slings. Although this is not an expensive piece of equipment (about $35 total) it can help you get in a quick workout anywhere that has a door...

I only did 3 sets due to time. Each set includes pull-ups, push ups, and knee ups (using arm slings) with no break and a 2 minute break between sets.

10 close hand reverse grip pull-ups
25 wide grip push-ups
45 knee ups (15 right side, 15 straight, and 15 left side)

2 min break

10 close hand regular grip pull-ups
25 military push-ups
45 knee ups (15 right side, 15 straight, and 15 left side)

2 min break

10 wide grip pull-ups
25 diamond push-ups
45 knee ups (15 right side, 15 straight, and 15 left side)

Whole workout is about 13-15 minutes but you will get a good pump from it, especially for the time spent.

Give Me Abs

Well, today is the day.  I am beginning my blog to chronicle my quest for abs.  This blog is the official blog of my website GiveMeAbs.com and in it I will have photos to show my progress, tell what I am currently doing to develop my midsection, and discuss fitness tips and goals in general.

To establish a few basics, I am 35 years old, 5'10", and currently weigh 188 lbs.  I wear a 34W in pants, which is down from a 38W one year ago.  I am setting a goal for myself of 175 lbs and a 32W.  I feel like if I get get my body weight that low, along with adding some muscle mass, I will get a good bit of my abs showing, then I can adjust my goal to get a full 6 pack.  Wishfull thinging?  Lets hope not!

How am I going to get there?  To start with, I am using MyFitnessPal on my iPhone to track my caloric consumption and burning.  I am attempting to stay in a 1860 calorie/day diet, which by the MyFitnessPal apps calculation would have me losing 1.5 lbs/week.  If you would like to befriend me on MyFitnessPal, my ID is GiveMeAbs and the email is info@givemeabs.com.

I am exercising / working out at least 3 times a week.  Beginning on Jan 7th I will be doing P90x while on shift (I am a firefighter), and doing some weight lifting as well.  On top of that I will be getting a 1-2 mile run in when I can.

Below is this weeks picture, and the beginning of my photo timeline.
